College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Every account is verified with a @wright.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Raiders — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

Wright State's residence halls sit right in the middle of campus. Hamilton Hall is the engineering-themed community next to the Student Union and closest to the academic buildings, and it hosts living-learning communities for engineering, nursing, and STEM. The Honors Community keeps honors students together with themed floors and suite-style bathrooms. The Woods is the biggest neighborhood, nine co-ed halls — Boston Hall, Cedar Hall, Hawthorn Hall, Hickory Hall, Jacob Hall, Laurel Hall, Maple Hall, Oak Hall, and Pine Hall — with everything from doubles to quads. Upperclass students spread out into College Park Apartments, University Park Apartments, Forest Lane Apartments, and The Village Apartments. Between the halls and the apartments, everything you need is already on campus. Wright State students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail.

Know what your room already has before you buy. Hall rooms come furnished with a bed frame, desk, wardrobe, and dresser, plus a mini fridge and microwave already installed, so you don't need to duplicate them. Mattresses are 36" x 79" — twin XL sheets, not standard twin. Every hall room has resident-controlled air conditioning. Beds can be bunked in The Woods, the Honors Community, and Hamilton Hall, but not lofted, and bunking isn't permitted in College Park, University Park, Forest Lane, or the Village. You may add one refrigerator or freezer per bedroom up to 4 cubic feet; extra window A/C units and open-coil space heaters are prohibited. The Village apartments come unfurnished, which is why couches, tables, and bed frames move fast there every August.

When it's time to hand something off, meet somewhere busy and public. The Student Union is the obvious one, with Union Market and Campus Recreation inside it, and the Paul Laurence Dunbar Library lobby works just as well between classes. For bigger items, the lots around the Wright State University Nutter Center give you room to load a car. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.

The marketplace gets busiest around the August move-in window, when residence halls open a few days ahead of the apartments.
