College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Every account is verified with a @wofford.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Terriers — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

Wofford is a small residential campus with ten residence halls, and first-year students are expected to live in them. New Terriers land in Marsh Hall, Greene Hall, or Jerome Johnson Richardson Hall, the three first-year buildings clustered together near the middle of campus. Sophomores and juniors move into DuPré Hall and Shipp Hall, and upperclass students take suite-style rooms in Carlisle Hall, Lesesne Hall, and Wightman Hall. Seniors go after the Charlestonian-style apartments of The Village and the studio lofts of the Michael S. Brown Village Center that look out over it — only groups of four rising seniors are guaranteed a Village assignment. When nearly everyone lives within a few minutes' walk of the same quad, everything you need is already on campus. Wofford students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail.

Rooms arrive furnished, so the shopping list is short and specific. First-year doubles in Marsh and Greene come with two beds, desks, desk chairs, armoires and dressers, and share hall baths; Carlisle suites are built as two study cubes, each with a bed, desk and chair, opening onto a shared common area with armoires, dressers and room for a couch, a mini fridge, a microwave and a TV. Beds are Twin XL, so buy sheets accordingly. Refrigerators can't stand taller than 3'6", and MicroFridge units can be rented through Standards For Living instead of bought. Toasters and toaster ovens, George Foreman grills, hot plates, space heaters and halogen lamps are all prohibited, so skip those secondhand listings. Laundry is free in every hall, and Village apartments include full kitchens, which is why cookware and kitchen odds and ends move fast each August.

Handing something off is easy on a campus this compact. Meet outside the Mungo Student Center, in the lobby of the Sandor Teszler Library, at the Burwell Building between meals, on the lawn in front of Main Building, or by the Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium — no shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
