College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. Every account is verified with a @mail.weber.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Wildcats — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

Weber State's on-campus housing is small enough to learn in a week. Community-style living happens in Wildcat Village, made up of Residence Hall 1, Stewart Wasatch Hall and Residence Hall 3 — the first two are built around two-bedroom suites with two residents per bedroom and a shared bathroom with a shower and two vanities, while Residence Hall 3 offers double rooms with community bathrooms. Stewart Wasatch Hall also carries the dining, laundry and fitness space for the Village. Apartment-style residents live in University Village, where four students share a four-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment and everyone gets a private bedroom. Weber State doesn't hold students to a live-on requirement, so rooms turn over constantly and everything you need is already on campus. Weber State students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail.

Know the rules before you buy. University Village apartments arrive fully furnished: each bedroom has an extra-long twin bed, dresser, desk and lockable nightstand, the living room has a couch, overstuffed chairs, a coffee table and an end table, and the kitchen already includes a stove, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher — so shop for twin XL sheets, not full-size furniture. In Wildcat Village rooms you may keep one compact refrigerator up to 3.2 cubic feet, but microwaves, hotplates, grills, crock pots, pressure cookers, multi-cookers, air fryers, toasters and toaster ovens are not allowed in the room; cooking happens in the community kitchens on most floors. Beds are height-adjustable for under-bed storage, and the only lofting hardware permitted is the university-issued bed loft kit, so skip cinder blocks and homemade risers.

When it's time to hand something off, stay somewhere busy and public: the Shepherd Union, the Stewart Library, the Wildcat Center on the rec side of campus, or right outside Wildcat Village if the buyer already lives there. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
