College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. Every account is verified with a @wsu.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Cougars, not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.
WSU requires all first-year Pullman students to live on campus for a year, which means fifteen residence halls fill and empty on the same calendar every fall and spring. New Cougs land in Community Duncan Dunn, Gannon/Goldsworthy Hall, McCroskey, McEachern Hall, Northside Hall, Olympia, Orton Hall, Regents Hall, Rogers Hall, Scott/Coman Hall, Stimson Hall, Streit Perham Hall, or one of the three towers that make up the Stephenson Complex. Honors students have Elmina White Honors Hall, and Global Scholars Hall is built around an international learning community open to everyone. Returning students who want a kitchen and a lease-style setup move over to the single-student apartments at Chief Joseph, Chinook, Columbia, and Nez Perce. Everything you need is already on campus: WSU students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester, usually for a fraction of retail.
Beds are extra-long twin, 36 by 80 inches, so ordinary twin sheets will not fit and XL sets with deep pockets are one of the steadiest listings on here. Each student gets a bed, a desk and chair, a dresser, a closet, and a wastebasket, with one recycling basket per room, and halls like Northside put a sink and a large mirror right in the room. Personal furniture is not permitted in the halls, so the trading skews toward small stuff. Air conditioners are prohibited campus-wide, which makes fans worth grabbing early in September. Microwaves are allowed only in Community/Duncan Dunn, Global Scholars, Northside, and Olympia halls, one per room; elsewhere students rent a MicroFridge through housing or pick up a small refrigerator secondhand. Toasters, toaster ovens, air fryers, and adhesive-backed strip lights are all on the banned list, while coffee makers, popcorn poppers, and hot pots are fine.
Meet somewhere busy and central. The Compton Union Building, the Holland and Terrell Libraries, the Student Recreation Center, The Bookie, or any bench along Glenn Terrell Mall all work. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
