Buying & selling at Valparaiso

Campus details for Valpo students.

Valpo is small enough that you probably already know half the people selling — and everything is a five-minute walk, so a handoff is a detour, not an errand.

Every account is verified with a Valpo email, so you're always dealing with another Beacon. No shipping, no meeting strangers, no guessing who's real.

Textbooks, a desk lamp, a futon someone's leaving behind, a bike, tickets — if it changes hands on campus, it belongs here.

Help & FAQ

Common questions from Valpo students.

Is this only for Valpo students?

Each campus is its own marketplace. You'll only see listings from people who verified with a Valpo email address, and they'll only see yours.

Does it cost anything?

No. Listing and browsing are free, and we don't take a cut — you handle payment directly with the other student, however you both prefer.

Where should I meet to hand something off?

Somewhere public and central. Harre Union and Christopher Center Library are the easiest — busy, well-lit, and everyone knows where they are.

What if nobody's selling what I need?

Post it on the Looking For board. Other Valpo students can see what's in demand, and you'll get notified when someone lists a match.
