College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Every account is verified with a @tulane.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Green Wave — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

First-years land in the community- and suite-style houses on the Newcomb side of the Uptown campus: Butler Residence Hall, Sharp Residence Hall, Monroe Residence Hall, Josephine Louise Residence Hall, Warren Residence Hall and Wall Residence Hall. Returning students move into The Village and the suite buildings around it — Bayou Residence Hall, Fogelman Residence Hall, River Residence Hall, Lake Residence Hall, Décou-Labat Residences, Greenbaum Residence Hall, Mayer Residence Hall, Weatherhead Residence Hall, the apartment-style Aron Residences, and the singles billed at 2210 Calhoun. Because first-time, full-time students who entered in Fall 2023 or later must live on campus for their first three years, most of the Green Wave furnish a room here three years running, and everything you need is already on campus. Tulane students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail.

Know what the room already gives you before you buy. Every room comes with a height-adjustable Twin XL bed that raises up to 30 inches, a double-sided memory foam mattress, a desk and chair, a dresser or chest of drawers, closet or wardrobe space, and — in the halls Tulane describes room by room — a MicroFridge mini fridge and microwave combo unit, so you rarely need to buy your own. Only University-approved refrigerators, microwaves or MicroFridge units are allowed, and the 2026-27 housing agreement says furniture may not be removed from the room, which is why under-bed bins and risers move faster than full furniture sets. Lamps and linens are on you: Tulane's own ship-to-campus list starts with Twin XL sheets, single-bulb lamps and a surge-protected power strip. The University supplies air conditioning, heat, water and electricity during the occupancy period. Screws, nails and other adhesives are prohibited, so stick to Command strips or blue painters' tape.

Meet somewhere busy and well-lit. The Lavin-Bernick Center for University Life, Howard-Tilton Memorial Library, the Reily Student Recreation Center, Gibson Hall and the Small Family Collaboration Hub in The Village are all easy handoffs between classes — no shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
