College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for The University of Texas at San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas. Every account is verified with a @my.utsa.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Roadrunners — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

UTSA's Main Campus housing runs from traditional halls all the way to apartment-style suites. First-year Honors College students live in the Honors Residential College inside Guadalupe Hall, Alvarez Hall anchors the special-interest and living-learning floors, and Chisholm Hall houses the university's Bold Scholars in double and triple rooms. Blanco Hall, which opened for Spring 2026, adds just under 600 more single and double beds. Upperclass students spread out into the suite-style apartments at Chaparral Village and Laurel Village, or into University Oaks, the one on-campus property that allows pets. UTSA has no live-on requirement, though it still recommends the first-year residential experience — and either way, everything you need is already on campus. UTSA students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester, usually for a fraction of retail.

Check what your building already gives you before you buy anything. Rooms in Alvarez, Blanco, Chisholm and Guadalupe come with extra-long twin beds — Twin XL sheets, not standard twin — plus a desk, chair, dresser and closet; Alvarez rooms add a private sink and Blanco provides a wheeled wardrobe with a hanging bar. Chaparral Village and Laurel Village suites are fully furnished and already include a refrigerator and microwave in the kitchenette, so a second fridge is usually wasted money. Watch the bed size in those two: the four-bedroom floor plans use extra-long twins while some two-bedroom units have full-size beds, which changes your sheet order entirely. Utilities and high-speed internet are included in the rate. Cooking isn't allowed in individual bedrooms, and open-flame items such as candles and incense are prohibited.

When it's time to hand something off, meet somewhere busy and in daylight. Sombrilla Plaza, the John Peace Library, and the Student Union are all short walks from the residential side of campus and stay full of people between classes. Trade on campus, hand it over in person, and you're done: no shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
