College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for St. Bonaventure University in St. Bonaventure, New York. Every account is verified with a @sbu.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Bonnies — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

First-year Bonnies land in Robinson Hall, Falconio Hall, or Loughlen Hall, freshman-only buildings in the middle of campus where a standard double runs roughly 17 by 11 feet. Sophomores, juniors and seniors move on to Devereux Hall, which holds 282 upperclass students across 90 singles and 96 doubles and puts a sink in every room; the suite-style Shay Hall, where two bedrooms share one bathroom; Doyle Hall, which mixes all four class years and came out of a full bathroom renovation in summer 2024; and Francis Hall, all single rooms sitting above the DePerro School of Health Professions. Upperclassmen with seniority chase the apartments: six-person units in the Garden Apartments (Gardens East and West) and the four- and six-person Townhouse Apartments on the east end of campus. St. Bonaventure requires students to live on campus through their first, second and third years unless they qualify for an exception, so everything you need is already on campus. SBU students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester, usually for a fraction of retail.

Rooms arrive furnished with an extra-long twin bed and mattress, a desk and chair, a dresser, a closet or wardrobe, and overhead lighting, all over tile floors with window blinds. Buy Twin XL sheets (36" x 80") and skip the standard twin set, and plan on bringing your own blankets and towels. A mini fridge is fine as long as it is no larger than 5 cubic feet, but microwaves are not allowed in residence hall rooms, and neither are toaster ovens, grills, sandwich makers, air conditioners, portable heaters, halogen lamps, extension cords, candles, pets, or your own furniture. The apartments are the exception: Garden kitchens come partially furnished and do include microwaves, while townhouses have a full kitchen with standard appliances but no microwave provided. Laundry is free in every hall.

Hand things off somewhere busy and public: the Reilly Center, Friedsam Memorial Library, Hickey Dining Hall, The Rathskeller, or outside the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
