College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Every account is verified with a @usf.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Bulls — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

USF housing splits into a few distinct neighborhoods, and the swap cycle looks different in each one. The traditional halls in the Argos Complex, Beta Hall and Castor Hall, run mostly double rooms with community bathrooms. The Village stacks five buildings together — Beacon Hall, Endeavor Hall, Horizon Hall, Pinnacle Hall, and Summit Hall — with both traditional and suite layouts under the same roofs. Suite-style rooms also fill Cypress Hall, Juniper Hall, Maple Hall, and Poplar Hall, where a bathroom is shared with suitemates instead of a whole floor. Returning students who want a real kitchen move into Cypress Apartments, Holly Apartments, Kosove Apartments, or Magnolia Apartments; first-year students aren't eligible to select apartment-style rooms. Wherever you land, everything you need is already on campus. USF students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail.

Every room arrives furnished with a bed, dresser, desk, chair, trash can, and closet for each resident, so the shopping list is really about the gaps. Most halls use Twin XL mattresses, while Housing lists Beta and Castor with standard twin beds — worth confirming before you buy a set of sheets from someone in a different building. Lofting is limited: only Juniper Hall, Poplar Hall, The Village, and Greek Village have beds designed to raise to 60 inches, and other halls don't allow the modification, which is why loft-friendly gear moves fast between those specific buildings. Apartments already include a refrigerator and range plus a sofa and chair, so apartment residents are usually the ones selling a spare mini fridge each spring. Rooms are air-conditioned, and USF warns against loading too many high-draw appliances onto one surge protector.

Meet up somewhere busy and familiar. The Marshall Student Center is the obvious default, and the USF Tampa Library, The Hub, Argos Exchange, and The FIT all work just as well between classes. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
