College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Siena University in Loudonville, New York. Every account is verified with a @siena.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Saints — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist. The Franciscan campus two miles north of Albany answered to Siena College until the 2025 name change; the Saints and the siena.edu address never moved.

New Saints move into Ryan Hall, which is mostly doubles with a few quads and came out of a full renovation with new flooring, lighting and wardrobes; Hines Hall, a mix of doubles, triples and quads; or Plassmann Hall, where doubles sit alongside four- and six-person suites. Returning students choose between Hennepin Hall, which offers doubles, triples, suites and a handful of premium singles, plus Padua Hall and Snyder Hall. Rising juniors and seniors compete for the townhouses: six-person units at MacClosky Square and the four- and six-person homes of Cushing Village, where renovated units are priced above the ones still waiting their turn. Siena has a four-year residency requirement — full-time undergraduates who aren't approved commuters live on campus the whole way through — so everything you need is already on campus. Siena students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester, usually for a fraction of retail.

Every room comes with a twin XL mattress, so buy extra-long twin sheets and skip the standard twin set. Traditional doubles have adjustable beds and triples, quads and the larger suites are typically already lofted; you cannot bring your own loft kit, since only Siena-installed lofts are allowed, and personal mattresses and waterbeds are out. Windows come with mini-blinds because fire code bans curtains and cloth closet coverings. Refrigerators max out at 4 cubic feet and microwaves at 900 watts, one unit per room or suite, and a rented MicroFridge covers both in one box. Air conditioners aren't permitted unless Health Services authorizes one and Facilities installs it, and hot plates, toasters, space heaters, halogen lamps, extension cords, LED string lights and candles are all on the prohibited list. University furniture stays put, so don't buy anything expecting to swap out a desk.

Hand things off somewhere busy and public: the Sarazen Student Union, Standish Library, the concourse at the UHY Center, the Marcelle Athletic Complex, or outside the Siena Fitness Center. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
