College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for the University of San Francisco in San Francisco, California. Every account is verified with a @dons.usfca.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Dons — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.
USF housing is packed onto one hilltop campus in the middle of the city, which is exactly why buying secondhand from another student beats ordering something and hauling it across town. First-year and transfer students live in Fromm Hall, Gillson Hall, Hayes-Healy Hall, and Toler Hall. Second-year, transfer, and continuing students move up to Lone Mountain North, the apartment-style Lone Mountain East, Loyola Village, and Fulton Flats on Fulton Street. Whichever building you land in, everything you need is already on campus. USF students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail.
Student Housing furnishes every room with a bed, box spring, and Twin XL mattress, a desk with drawers, a desk chair, a dresser, a built-in heater, and closet or wardrobe space that varies by hall. What it does not hand you is a desk lamp, a fan, or air conditioning — and personal air conditioners are on the prohibited list alongside space heaters, halogen lamps, ceiling fans, and hot plates. Window coverings only come standard in Hayes-Healy and Gillson, so curtains and rods move fast in August. You can bring one refrigerator per room up to 3.8 cubic feet (a MicroFridge with SafePlug is rentable if you'd rather not buy), though apartment residents in Loyola Village and Lone Mountain East can't bring their own fridge or microwave since the units have kitchens. Beds on the second and third floors of Lone Mountain North are permanently lofted, which makes under-bed storage bins genuinely useful there.
Meet up somewhere busy and central: the University Center, the lobby of Gleeson Library, outside the Koret Health and Recreation Center, by Lone Mountain Dining Hall, or at the USF Bookstore on the first floor of the UC. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
Timing matters too. Fall 2026 assignments go out June 15 and first-year move-in is August 19, 2026, so the weeks on either side of those dates are when listings move fastest.
