College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina. Every account is verified with a @presby.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Blue Hose, not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

PC is a live-on campus. Every full-time student is required to live in college housing unless they qualify for an exemption, such as commuting from a parent's home within forty miles, so the people you buy from as a first-year are still around senior year. New students land in the suite-style rooms of Mary Irwin Belk Hall and Clinton Hall, while Georgia Hall mixes first-year and upperclass residents. Upperclass students fill Barron Hall, Grotnes Hall, the partitioned rooms of Smyth Hall and Carol International House. Anyone who wants a kitchen moves into Spradley Hall, the Staton Hall Quad apartments or the two-story Townhouses. Whichever building you land in, everything you need is already on campus. PC students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes and gently used textbooks every semester, usually for a fraction of retail.

Check the rules before you buy. Rooms come with a bed, mattress, desk, chair and dresser, and college furniture cannot be removed or put into storage. Bedding is the catch: Belk, Clinton, Georgia, Smyth, Spradley, the Staton Quad and the Townhouses are listed with twin XL beds, while Barron and Grotnes are listed with standard twin beds, so confirm your assignment before buying sheets. Beds are height adjustable everywhere, but students may not build or install lofts; risers up to two feet are the workaround, with Residence Life approval. Personal refrigerators are capped at 5.0 cubic feet, micro-fridges and hair dryers must plug straight into a wall outlet rather than a power strip, and extension cords are not allowed. Personal air conditioners, hot plates, toaster ovens, air fryers, halogen lamps and pets are prohibited. Spradley, the Staton Quad and the Townhouses have full kitchens and unfurnished living rooms, which is why couches and coffee tables change hands there every spring.

Meet somewhere busy and well lit. The Springs Student Center is the obvious handoff spot, with the food court, the coffee shop, Scotsman's Corner and the Springs Fitness Center all in one building, and James H. Thomason Library, Greenville Dining Hall and the Templeton Physical Education Center work just as well between classes. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
