College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, Texas. Every account is verified with a @pvamu.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Panthers — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

On-campus housing at PVAMU is organized by classification rather than by a scatter of individual halls. First-year Panthers with 0–29 credit hours live in University College, the suite-style first-year community. Sophomores in the 30–59 hour range move into the apartments at University Village. Juniors, seniors and graduate students at 60+ hours choose between University View and University Square, both of which run private-bedroom apartment and townhome floor plans. Residence Life places students by credit hours and availability, and University Square adds its own eligibility bar of 45 completed hours and a 2.8 GPA, so most Panthers change buildings at least once before they graduate — everything you need is already on campus. PVAMU students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester, usually for a fraction of retail.

Every community is fully furnished, which shapes what actually sells here. University College suites come with a mini fridge and microwave already installed plus internet and cable TV in every suite, while the apartment communities have fully equipped kitchens, walk-in closets, and their own laundry — full-size washer and dryer at University View, stackable at University Square. Air conditioning is standard. Beginning in Fall 2026, Prairie View housing moves to an all-inclusive rent model, so utilities are folded into the semester housing installment instead of being billed separately, and some students are asked for a $650 pre-rental payment to confirm a contract. Furnished rooms and in-unit kitchens are exactly why the busiest listings at Prairie View tend to be cookware, small electronics, decor and course materials rather than beds and desks.

Handing something off is easy when you both live on the same campus. The Memorial Student Center stays busy between classes, the John B. Coleman Library is the obvious afternoon meeting point, and the Quad works for anything you'd rather do outside in daylight — no shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
