College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. Every account is verified with an @oregonstate.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Beavers — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

Oregon State asks first-year students, with very few exceptions, to live on campus, and that class spreads across fifteen residence halls: Bloss Hall, Buxton Hall, Callahan Hall, Cauthorn Hall, Finley Hall, Hawley Hall, McNary Hall, Poling Hall, Tebeau Hall, Weatherford Hall, Wilson Hall, and the International Living-Learning Center, with Honors College students in Sackett Hall and West Hall. Second-year students and above move on to apartment-style Halsell Hall or to the on-campus apartments at The Gem and 1045 SW Madison Ave. Everything you need is already on campus. OSU students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every term — usually for a fraction of retail.

Every hall room comes with a bed, desk, desk chair, and a closet or wardrobe, and every hall bed takes an extra-long twin mattress at 36 by 80 inches, so buy the XL sheets and skip the standard twin set. UHDS rents loft kits for $280 for the 2026-27 year, split to $140 each if you and your roommate bunk, and that rental is the only legal way to raise a bed — no outside lumber, cinder blocks, or homemade risers. Mini fridges have to be Energy Star rated, draw 11 amps or less, and stay at or under 3.2 cubic feet; microwaves usually live in the floor lounge rather than in your room. Personal air conditioners are on the leave-behind list, along with candles, halogen bulbs, Command strips, non-radiator space heaters, and extension cords without a surge protector. The Gem and 1045 SW Madison Ave. are furnished and air conditioned, and the Madison beds are full size rather than twin XL.

Handing something off is a short walk on a campus this compact. Meet at the Memorial Union, outside The Valley Library, at Dixon Recreation Center, on the Memorial Union Quad, at the OSU Beaver Store, or near Reser Stadium on a game weekend — no shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.

Fall move-in runs Wednesday, September 16 through Friday, September 18, 2026, staggered by hall, and the week leading into it is when listings move fastest.
