College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for the University of Nebraska at Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska. Every account is verified with a @unomaha.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Mavericks — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

UNO spreads its six on-campus housing facilities across two campuses. On Dodge Campus you'll find Maverick Village and University Village; a shuttle ride south on Scott Campus are Scott Court, Scott Crossing, Scott Hall, and Scott Village. Most of it is apartment style with four private bedrooms and a full kitchen, while Scott Hall and the traditional-style side of Scott Crossing run more like a classic residence hall — those two are the only facilities where a meal plan is required, since everywhere else you're cooking for yourself. There's no live-on mandate at UNO; a housing lease just requires admission and full-time enrollment, which means leases turn over constantly and everything you need is already on campus. Omaha students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail.

Rooms arrive furnished, so measure before you buy. Each bedroom comes with an extra-long twin mattress, a desk, a chair, and a dresser, and University Village adds a nightstand — so bring Twin XL sheets, not standard twin. Beds sit on adjustable-height frames that raise from about four inches to thirty-one, and that's the only lofting you get: self-assembled lofts and waterbeds are prohibited and beds must stay on their frames, so skip the cinder blocks. Provided furniture has to stay in the unit. Kitchens already include a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, sink, and microwave, and small counter appliances like toasters, blenders, coffee pots, and George Foreman-style grills are fine. Leave the halogen lamps, space heaters, candles, incense, full-size grills, and hoverboards at home. Fish are the only pets, in tanks of 10 gallons or less, and thermostats run between 68 and 76 degrees.

When it's time to hand something off, keep it on campus and keep it busy. The Milo Bail Student Center is the obvious first stop, and the Dr. C.C. and Mabel L. Criss Library, the H&K Building, and the Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center all work between classes. Scott Campus residents can just meet at Scott Dining Hall. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
