College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Every account is verified with a @ohio.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Bobcats — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

OHIO's housing splits across three greens. East Green is Biddle Hall, Bryan Hall, Bush Hall, Gamertsfelder Hall, Jefferson Hall, Johnson Hall, Lincoln Hall, Perkins Hall, Read Hall, Shively Hall, Tiffin Hall, Voigt Hall and Washington Hall. South Green runs Adams Hall, Brown Hall, Carr Hall, Crawford Hall, Ewing House, Hoover House, Luchs Hall, Mackinnon Hall, Pickering Hall, Sowle Hall, Tanaka Hall and Wray House, plus the brand-new McDavis Hall, opening fall 2026. West Green holds Boyd Hall, Bromley Hall, Convocation Center, James Hall, Ryors Hall, Sargent Hall, Treudley Hall and Wilson Hall. Returning students can also land in the 31 S. Court St. Apartments or the university-leased River Park Apartments next to Pickering. Because students under 21 owe four semesters in the halls before they can move off, everything you need is already on campus. Bobcats post futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester, usually for a fraction of retail.

Rooms arrive with a bed, an 80-inch XL twin mattress, a desk and chair, drawers, and closet space, so twin XL is the only sheet size worth buying. Every building is air-conditioned, though the method splits: newer halls run in-room HVAC units while the older classic halls use window units, and personal air conditioners are not permitted. Housing supplies a shared MicroFridge in each room and bans personal refrigerators and microwaves outright, so spend that money on shelving instead. Anything over 1,000 watts is prohibited too, which rules out space heaters, air fryers, toaster ovens, grills, hot plates and crockpots. Halogen and octopus lamps with exposed bulbs are out, extension cords are not allowed (surge-protected strips are fine), and holiday lights are capped at 25 feet. Most beds bunk or loft, the Convocation Center quads being one exception, and University furniture has to stay in the room.

When it's time to hand something off, stay where the bricks are busiest. Baker University Center is the natural middle ground for anyone crossing greens, Alden Library and College Green work for a quick daylight swap, and the Charles J. Ping Student Recreation Center or The District on West Green inside Boyd Hall cover the west side. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.

Timing matters here. Fall move-in runs August 20 through 22, 2026, and spring move-out lands April 30, 2027 at 8 p.m. Those two windows are when listings move fastest.
