College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. Every account is verified with a @my.unt.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Mean Green students — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

UNT bills fifteen residence halls for 2026-27. The traditional double and triple rooms are spread across Bruce Hall, the oldest hall still housing students, plus Clark Hall, Crumley Hall, Joe Greene Hall, Kerr Hall, the largest on campus, Maple Hall, McConnell Hall, Rawlins Hall and West Hall. Single rooms turn up in Traditions Hall, Victory Hall and Santa Fe Square, and the private singles with shared living areas are in Honors Hall, Legends Hall and Mozart Square. If you graduated high school the semester before you enrolled, have fewer than 30 semester hours and are taking at least nine, UNT requires you to live on campus as long as space is available — so your first year is spent within a few blocks of everything you need. Mean Green students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes and gently used textbooks every semester, usually for a fraction of retail.

Beds take twin XL sheets: mattresses run roughly 80 inches long and 37.5 inches wide, with frames sitting about 18.5 inches off the floor as standard. You don't loft your own bed here — you submit a work order and Housing staff loft or bunk it for you, so plan around what fits underneath. Fridge rules are specific. A double room gets one 2.5 cu. ft. fridge per resident or one shared 4.6 cu. ft. unit; a triple can run three 2.5 cu. ft. fridges, or one 2.5 plus one 4.6. Microwaves must be 0.7 cu. ft. or smaller and 700 watts max, on a surge-protected power strip. Window AC units, dishwashers, hot plates, waffle irons and toasters or toaster ovens are prohibited, except in private single rooms. Bruce Hall, Mozart Square and Santa Fe Square rooms have individual heating and air conditioning controls, laundry is free to use, and Wi-Fi covers every hall.

When it's time to hand something off, stay somewhere busy. The University Union is the default for a first trade, Willis Library is easy if you're swapping textbooks between classes, and the Library Mall just outside works for anything bulky. All three sit in the middle of campus: no shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
