College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. Every account is verified with a @unf.edu email address — the N-number mailbox UNF issues you, like n01234567@unf.edu — so you're only ever trading with other Ospreys, not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

Almost every building on campus starts with the same word, and which Osprey you land in changes your shopping list. First-year students fill Osprey Cove, Osprey Crossings, Osprey Hall and Osprey Landing — Cove and Landing pair shared rooms with private bathrooms, Crossings is a 500-bed modified-suite building with seven living-learning communities, and Hall is the small lakeside building with shared lounges and bathrooms. Osprey Ridge, open since fall 2025, houses Hicks Honors College students. Upperclassmen head for the suites at Osprey Fountains, the apartments and loft-bedroom townhouses of Osprey Village, or The Flats at UNF, where apartments run on an 11.5-month contract. Ospreys post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, monitors, bikes and used textbooks every semester, usually for a fraction of retail.

Rooms come with moveable hardwood furniture: bed, desk, chair, dresser and closet space, plus counter room for your own microwave and efficiency-size fridge. Beds adjust up to 32 inches, so you can raise your frame and slide bins underneath instead of buying a lofting kit. Housing lists 80-inch twin XL mattresses for Osprey Ridge and every triple, so check your assignment before buying sheets. Utilities, high-speed internet and air conditioning are included in rent. Fridges are capped at 4.5 cubic feet with a two-fridge maximum per room, and a microwave of 1,200 watts or less is safe anywhere on campus. Hot plates, space heaters, electric skillets and charcoal or gas grills are banned outright; toasters, toaster ovens and George Foreman-style grills are for the cooking lounges or a Village or Flats kitchen, not your room. With a private bathroom you supply toilet paper and a shower curtain, first-year residents buy an on-campus meal membership, and Village and Flats residents need their own kitchenware.

Hand-offs are easy. Meet inside the John A. Delaney Student Union, on a study floor of the Thomas G. Carpenter Library, outside the Student Wellness Complex, by UNF Arena before a game, or at the Osprey Clubhouse where move-in check-in happens.

Fall 2026 move-in runs Aug. 12 for living-learning residents, Aug. 14 for first-year students and Aug. 15 for rising sophomores and above — that stretch, and the days right after finals, are when listings turn over fastest.
