College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for LSU New Orleans, the lakefront university most people still call UNO, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Every account is verified with an @lsuneworleans.edu email address — the domain that replaced @uno.edu when the school joined the LSU System on July 1, 2026 — so you're only ever trading with other Privateers, not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

The on-campus housing map is short. Pontchartrain Hall North and Pontchartrain Hall South are the traditional residence halls, offering furnished one, two, and four bedroom suites with academic-interest floors and 24-hour front desks; North has the game room and the convenience store. Privateer Place is the apartment side of campus living, with efficiency, two, and four bedroom units and a kitchen in every apartment. First-year students living more than 50 road miles from campus must live in one of the two for their first year. Students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and used textbooks every semester, usually well under retail.

Knowing what the room already gives you keeps you from overbuying. Each Pontchartrain bedroom has an adjustable bed frame, desk, dresser, and closet, and the common area arrives furnished with a couch, TV stand, counter, chair, and ottoman. Standard rooms take an XL-twin mattress, so buy XL-twin sheets, not a standard twin set; single rooms are the exception, with a full-size bed. Wifi and laundry are folded into the housing charge. Extra furniture is not allowed without approval from Residential Life, so the small stuff moves fast here: a refrigerator under 5 cubic feet is permitted, as is a small microwave, though official pages disagree on the wattage cap, so check before you buy. Keurigs are fine, and drip coffee makers, space heaters, string lights, candles, and standard extension cords are not. Pontchartrain residents carry a required meal plan; Privateer Place apartments have full kitchens, so those residents shop for cookware instead.

When it's time to hand something off, meet somewhere busy and public. The University Center is the simplest landing spot, with the lobby, the Ask Lafitte desk, and The Galley in one building, and the Earl K. Long Library works well for books and small electronics. For anything you would rather load straight into a car, the Human Performance Center and Lakefront Arena have parking close to the door. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no off-campus meetups.
