College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. Every account is verified with a @morgan.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Bears, not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

Morgan's residential map has changed fast over the last few years, and the halls in play for 2026-27 are a mix of the traditional towers and the newest construction. Incoming freshmen are placed in Baldwin Hall, Blount Towers, Cummings House, Legacy Hall, Rawlings Hall, or Thurgood Marshall Hall, and both Rawlings and Thurgood Marshall put dining under the same roof as the beds. Upper-class and transfer students can also claim a spot in Harper-Tubman House, which comes back online in mid-November 2026 after a full interior renovation behind its preserved historic exterior; students assigned there begin the fall at the Lord Baltimore Hotel downtown and move into the finished building once it opens. Between the traditional halls and the suite-style floors, everything you need is already on campus. Morgan State students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester, usually for a fraction of retail.

Room setups run from traditional doubles, triples, and quads sharing a common or adjoining bath to singles, semi-suite doubles, and apartment-style units in the newer buildings. Beds take twin XL sheets, so check the label before you buy anyone's bedding secondhand. Baldwin, Blount, and Rawlings all list central individual air conditioning and personal AC units are prohibited, which makes the window unit the one thing you should not shop for. Refrigerators have to stay at 3.6 cubic feet or under and microwaves at 600 watts or under, one per room in the traditional halls, so the compact fridge-and-microwave pair is the most reliably traded item on campus. Hot plates, grills, electric ranges, toaster ovens, and space heaters are all banned. University beds and furnishings cannot be disassembled or rearranged without written permission from your Residence Director, so ask first before buying a loft kit or risers. Every on-campus resident carries at least the Silver Anytime Dining Plan.

When it is time to hand something off, pick somewhere busy and public. The University Student Center is the natural meeting point with the food court and Bearcade inside, and the Earl S. Richardson Library, Hill Field House, Hughes Memorial Stadium, and Holmes Hall all work well during the day. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
