Buying & selling at Morehead State

Campus details for Morehead State students.

College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky. Every account is verified with a @moreheadstate.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Eagles — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

Most first-year Eagles land in the First-Year Village inside the Mignon Residential Complex, which takes in Mignon Hall, East Mignon Hall, West Mignon Hall and Mignon Tower. Returning students spread out across Fields Hall, Cooper Hall, Nunn Hall, Grote-Thompson Hall, Craft Tower and the suite-style Andrews Hall, while Cartmell Hall is where upperclass students go for single-occupancy rooms. Agriculture students have Padula Hall out at the University Farm. Prefontaine Hall — a new 310-bed building with four residential floors — comes online for fall 2026. Anyone who wants a real kitchen aims for Eagle Lake Apartments or Mays Hall. Because MSU's residency policy keeps most full-time students under 21 on campus until they've finished four semesters here, everything you need is already on campus. Morehead State students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail.

That four-semester live-on rule is what really drives the trading. The interesting listings are rarely the first move; they're the second and third. A rug sized for a Mignon double that won't work in a Cooper single. Shelving from someone switching to a suite in Andrews. A microwave headed to an Eagle Lake kitchen because its owner finally got an apartment. And students who qualify for a housing waiver — a parent or guardian within 50 driving miles, married students, single parents — tend to clear out a full room's worth of gear at once, which is when the best bundles show up.

Meeting up is the easy part. The Adron Doran University Center is the obvious handoff point between classes, and Camden-Carroll Library works when you want somewhere quiet and predictable. Rock Dining Facility is busy enough that nobody looks twice at a box changing hands, and Johnson Arena is a simple landmark for anyone coming from the west side of campus. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
