College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts. Every account is verified with a @merrimack.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Warriors — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

First-year Warriors mostly land in the traditional halls: Ash Centre, Deegan Hall, and Monican Centre, where doubles, triples, quads and four-person suites are the norm. Returning students spread out into suite-style living at O'Brien Hall, North Residential Village and South Residential Village, into the six-bedroom Townhouses, or into the final-year St. Thomas Apartments and St. Ann Apartments. New for fall 2026 are Shawsheen and Essex, a 540-bed pair at the corner of Route 114 and Andover Street — Shawsheen with traditional rooms and an Honors Commons, Essex with suite-style rooms and furnished common areas. Across all of them, everything you need is already on campus. Merrimack students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail.

Rooms arrive furnished: a bed frame, desk, desk chair, three-drawer dresser and a wardrobe, all of which have to stay in the room for the year. Beds take twin XL mattresses (36" x 80"), so buy the long sheets, not the standard ones. Merrimack does not allow students to bring or build their own beds or to raise the bed the college provides, which takes loft kits, risers and cinder blocks off the table — under-bed bins and shelving units do the work instead. Refrigerators have to be under 5 cubic feet, and microwaves are capped at 700 watts output and 1,200 watts input and must run on a surge protector; combo micro-fridge units can be rented through New England Student Services. Ash Centre and Deegan Hall have no air conditioning and window units are prohibited, so fans and box fans move quickly in September, while Shawsheen and Essex are air conditioned. Hot plates, toasters, toaster ovens, candles, incense, lava lamps and neon signs are all banned.

When it's time to hand something off, meet somewhere busy and well lit. The Sakowich Campus Center is the obvious spot, with Sparky's Place and The Warrior's Den right inside it. McQuade Library works for quieter weekday swaps, and the Merrimack Athletics Complex or Duane Stadium are easy landmarks on the athletics side of campus. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
