LSU mixes traditional halls, residential colleges tied to your major, and apartments. Whether you're in the Pentagon at Beauregard, Jackson, LeJeune, or Taylor, in Acadian, Herget, Broussard, McVoy, Miller, Annie Boyd, Azalea, Cedar, or Spruce, in a residential college like Blake for Agriculture, Camellia for Engineering, Cypress for Human Sciences & Education, Evangeline or Highland for Science, West for Business, South for Mass Comm, North for Humanities and the Arts, or the Lavilles for Honors, or in Nicholson Gateway, East Campus, or West Campus Apartments, everything you need is already on campus. LSU students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail. Students living off campus around Tigerland and Highland Road use it too. Same rule applies: verified students only, and the person on the other end is someone you'd pass on the way to class.

The weeks that matter most
Incoming first-year students move in August 14–16, 2026, and move-out follows finals in May. Those two windows are when the marketplace is busiest — graduating seniors and students heading home are clearing out furniture, fridges, and storage all at once, and incoming students need all of it. If you're selling, post before the rush. If you're buying, that's when the good stuff appears and disappears the same day.
