College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. Every account is verified with a @lafayette.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Leopards — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

First-year Leopards land in Conway House, Gates Hall, Kamine Hall, Marquis Hall, McKeen Hall, Ruef Hall, South College, or Watson Hall, and most of them stay on the Hill well past that first year — Lafayette holds students to a College housing requirement, and only rising seniors may apply to be released into private off-campus housing. Upper-level options open up into Easton Hall, Farber Hall, Fisher East and Fisher West, Grossman House, Keefe Hall, Kirby House, Ramer Hall, Rubin Hall, Soles Hall, and Watson Courts, with apartment-style living at McCartney II, McCartney North, and McCartney South. When nearly everyone lives within a few blocks of the Quad, everything you need is already on campus. Lafayette students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail.

Rooms come furnished, and that College-supplied furniture has to stay put — you're on the hook for damage beyond normal wear and tear. Beds take extra-long twin sheets, not standard twins, and they can be raised, lofted, or bunked with a roommate; Residence Life even posts a how-to video on adjusting bed height, which is why risers and loft accessories move fast in September. Standard microwaves aren't permitted in rooms, and MicroFridge units are the sanctioned workaround, rented or purchased — which makes combo units and mini fridges two of the busiest listings here. Candles, wax burners, toasters, sandwich grills, and traditional coffee makers are all prohibited. You also can't install your own window AC: only Facilities Operations staff may install units in College-owned properties, and a personal unit in a non-air-conditioned building needs a documented accommodation approved through Bailey Health Center. Fans are worth grabbing early.

Meet up somewhere public and busy. Farinon College Center is the default, with the college store, post office, and dining under one roof. Skillman Library is perfect for a quick textbook handoff between classes, Kirby Sports Center works if one of you is already headed to the gym, and Marquis Hall and Colton Chapel sit central enough that nobody crosses campus twice. Everything changes hands face to face — no shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
