College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Every account is verified with a @lasalle.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Explorers — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

La Salle requires first- and second-year students not living with a parent or legal guardian to live on campus and carry a meal plan, so most Explorers move in early. St. Katharine Hall, at 20th Street and Olney Avenue, is co-ed by floor and mixes doubles, large singles and quad units built from two doubles sharing a bathroom. St. Neumann Hall has doubles and large singles plus a lounge with a pool table and a full kitchen, and it's the dog-friendly residence for approved upperclass students. St. Basil Court is suite style and air conditioned, with two double bedrooms sharing an entrance and bathroom, and its suites hold the Honors community. Reopened St. Cassian Hall and St. Denis Hall brought rooms back online in the North Halls complex, the St. Miguel Townhouses give four or five students a full kitchen, living room and two full bathrooms, and for fall 2026 the University added leased one- and two-bedroom apartments at Chew Flats. All that moving means La Salle students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail.

Shop for the room you actually got. Beds take extra-long twin sheets, 36 by 80 inches, so ordinary twin bedding is money thrown away. St. Basil Court is air conditioned, but not every space is — the 2026–27 rate sheet still lists apartment singles without A/C, worth checking before you buy or flip a fan. Laundry and Wi-Fi are free, so skip the quarters and the router: personal routers are prohibited, as are full-size refrigerators, toaster ovens, air fryers, space heaters, candles, free weights, and extension cords without circuit breakers. Combination microwave-and-refrigerator units rent through the MicroFridge program, or turn up secondhand from someone moving out. Townhouse and apartment residents should add kitchenware and their own cleaning supplies.

Hand things off somewhere busy and well lit. The Union Building is the natural spot, with dining, the food court and the market under one roof, and Connelly Library, Treetops Café, the IBC Fitness Center and John E. Glaser Arena all work in daylight. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
