Buying & selling at Kennesaw State
Campus details for Kennesaw State students.
College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. Every account is verified with a @students.kennesaw.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Owls — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.
KSU houses students across two metro-Atlanta campuses, and Housing and Residence Life lists both in the same 2026-27 rates table. On the Kennesaw campus, first-year Owls land in The Summit, the newly opened The Summit II, University Village, or University Village Suites, while returning students take the apartments at Austin Residence Complex. On the Marietta campus, first-year students live in Hornet Village or Howell Hall, and upper-class residents spread out across University Columns, University Commons, and University Courtyard. Traditional first-year students enrolled in Marietta-based majors are required to live on campus unless they meet an exemption, which means a steady wave of students furnishing a room every August — and everything you need is already on campus. Kennesaw State students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester, usually for a fraction of retail.
Check the bed size before you buy sheets, because KSU is genuinely split. The Summit, University Village Suites, Hornet Village, Howell Hall, University Columns and the bunked doubles in University Village all use twin XL, while Austin Residence Complex, University Commons, University Courtyard and the single bedrooms in University Village use full XL. Rooms already come with a bed, a dresser or a wardrobe with two drawers, and a computer desk with chair; the apartment communities add a furnished kitchen and living room. Housing asks students to leave their own bed and lofting kits at home, caps personal mini fridges at 4 cubic feet where a full-size fridge isn't already provided, and allows one 750-watt microwave per unit. Space heaters, hot plates, candles, grills and LED strip lights are all on the prohibited list, and TVs can't be mounted to walls — so listings for freestanding stands and command-strip-friendly decor move fast.
Meet up somewhere busy and public. The Carmichael Student Center and The Commons are the easy handoff points on the Kennesaw campus, Horace W. Sturgis Library works when you want a quiet spot with foot traffic, and on the Marietta campus the Joe Mack Wilson Student Center and L.V. Johnson Library do the same job. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
