Where Zags buy and sell
Gonzaga's campus is compact and its housing runs from traditional halls to houses to apartments. Whether you're a first-year in Catherine Monica, Madonna, Welch, DeSmet, Coughlin, Crimont, Goller, Marian, Mantua, Dillon, or Twohy, in one of the houses — Alliance, Chardin, Lincoln, Roncalli, Cushing, or Dooley — or in Dussault Suites or the Burch, Corkery, Kennedy, and Sharp apartments, everything you need is within a few blocks. Zags post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail. Students living off campus in the Logan neighborhood use it too. Same rule applies: verified students only, and the person on the other end is someone you'd pass on the way to class.
Bathroom renovations are staged across two summers
Catherine Monica's southwest wing bathrooms are being renovated in summer 2026, with the rest of the building's bathrooms following in summer 2027. The new layout uses fully enclosed single-unit showers and single-unit restrooms in a corridor arrangement. Practically, that means shower caddies, robes and flip-flops matter less in the renovated wing than in the rest of the hall — worth knowing which side you land on before you shop.
Meeting up on campus
Handoffs happen at landmarks everybody already knows. The John J. Hemmingson Center is the hub of campus and the obvious default, with the Foley Center Library, the Rudolf Fitness Center, and the Martin Centre all a short walk away. Madonna is the closest hall to the student center, so that's an easy meeting point from most of campus. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no driving across Spokane to meet someone off Craigslist.
Textbooks without the bookstore markup
Course materials for engineering, nursing, and business run into the hundreds of dollars a semester, and the same editions circulate through campus year after year. Buying from the Zag who took the class last term beats the bookstore buyback spread on both ends — the seller gets more than the buyback price, and the buyer pays less than retail.
