College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut. Every account is verified with a @student.fairfield.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Stags — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.
Fairfield is a live-on campus in the truest sense: every full-time undergraduate who isn't a commuter or living with a spouse or family is required to live in University housing, so the whole student body cycles through the same rooms year after year. First-years and sophomores fill the traditional halls — Campion Hall, Dulles Hall, Faber Hall, Gonzaga Hall, Jogues Hall, Loyola Hall, Regis Hall, and 70 McCormick Road Hall — while sophomores also land in the suite-style Bowman Hall, Claver Hall, Kostka Hall, 42 Langguth Hall, and, new for fall 2026, E. Gerald Corrigan Hall. Juniors and seniors move up to Meditz Hall, Dolan Hall, 47 Mahan, the North Townhouses, and Barnyard Manor. Whichever building you land in, everything you need is already on campus. Fairfield students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail.
Rooms come furnished with a twin XL bed and mattress, a desk with drawers and a matching chair, a three-drawer dresser, a wardrobe or closet, window coverings, and a University-supplied micro-fridge unit. That last detail matters: because the micro-fridge is provided, extra refrigerators and microwaves aren't permitted in the residence halls without approval from the Office of Residence Life, and personal portable air conditioners aren't allowed either. Bed frames are adjustable-height, and a limited number of extra frames are handed out on move-in day for students who want to bunk or loft, with priority going to first-years in triples and quads — students aren't allowed to build lofts of their own. So the things that actually move here are twin XL sheets and toppers, fans, shelving, rugs, and storage that fits under a raised bed.
When it's time to hand something off, pick a spot with people around. The Barone Campus Center is the obvious one, and the DiMenna-Nyselius Library, the Leslie C. Quick Jr. Recreation Complex, Bellarmine Lawn, and Egan Chapel of St. Ignatius Loyola all work just as well. Five minutes between classes and you're done: no shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
