College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for the University of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana. Every account is verified with an @evansville.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Purple Aces — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.
Most of campus lives within a few minutes' walk of each other, which is exactly why a campus-only marketplace works here. First- and second-year students fill Hale Hall, Moore Hall, Schroeder Hall, the honors-focused Powell Hall, and the pod-style New Residence Hall, whose Brentano and Morton wings are named for the halls that once stood on the site. Upperclass students move out to the apartment-style options — Jones Hall, the two-story Townhouses in Walnut and Frederick Commons, and Lincoln Commons above the Qdoba and Orange Leaf storefronts. UE's residency policy keeps most students on campus for three academic years, so everything you need is already a short walk away. Evansville students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail.
Know the room rules before you buy. All UE beds are Twin XL (36" x 80", with some 36" x 90" frames in Hale, Powell, Schroeder, and New Hall), so standard twin sheets will not fit. Every hall has air conditioning, most with independent room controls. Beds are designed to be bunked or lofted with university equipment — student-built lofts are banned, and New Hall residents can pay for loft assembly through Residence Life. Rooms already come with a bed frame and mattress, desk, desk chair, dresser or chests, and a wardrobe or built-in closet. Fridges are capped at 34"h x 20"w x 20"d and 2.5 amps; microwaves at 11"h x 19"w x 15"d and 10 amps. Toaster ovens, hot plates, griddles, George Foreman grills, and halogen lamps are all prohibited, so check listings against that list.
Hand-offs are easy: meet at Ridgway University Center, outside Bower-Suhrheinrich Library, or on the Front Oval where there's always foot traffic. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.

Where should I meet to hand something off?
Somewhere public and central. Ridgway University Center and Bower-Suhrheinrich Library are the easiest — busy, well-lit, and everyone knows where they are.
