College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington. Every account is verified with an @ewu.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Eagles — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.
New students at EWU are required to live on campus their first year, and for 2026-27 that means one of four residence halls: Anderson Hall, Pearce Hall — the largest hall on campus, the one with the 13th-floor penthouse — Streeter Hall, or snyamncut Hall, whose Salish name means "place of gathering." Students who want a kitchen and a more apartment-style setup move over to the Anna Maria Apartments or the Townhouse Apartments. Cheney's campus is compact enough that a handoff between classes is usually a short walk. Eastern Washington students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail.
A few housing details worth knowing before you buy anything. Beds in Anderson, Pearce, Streeter and snyamncut are extra-long twins, so extra-long sheets are the ones to look for; a standard twin set will come up short. The bed frames raise in step increments to a maximum under-bed height of 31 inches, which means you don't need risers or cinder blocks to get storage room — you just need bins and drawers that fit under a raised frame. Microwaves and mini fridges are allowed in the halls. The furniture EWU provides has to stay in your room and there's no storage available for it, so secondhand shelving, a decent desk chair, or a small futon from a student who's moving out beats buying new. Every hall has free laundry, wireless internet, and floor lounges and kitchenettes.
When it's time to hand something off, meet somewhere busy and public. The Pence Union Building is the obvious one, and the JFK Library, the University Recreation Center, and Tawanka Dining Hall all work just as well between classes. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
