Every room arrives furnished with an extra-long twin bed, a wardrobe, and a desk with chair, plus a small dresser in most buildings, so shop for Twin XL sheets rather than standard twin. All seven halls have self-regulated central air conditioning and heat, which means nobody is hunting down a window unit in September. Bed height adjusts up to 36 inches in most halls, though Bentley Hall's beds are fixed — worth confirming before you buy risers or a loft setup secondhand. The appliance rules are specific and they matter when you are browsing listings: microwaves may not exceed 700 watts, refrigerators are capped at 2.9 cubic feet and 1.5 amps, and roommates are expected to share one of each per two students. Air fryers, space heaters, halogen lamps, LED light strips and candles are all prohibited, so skip those listings entirely.

Handoffs are simple when you never have to leave University City. Meet at the Creese Student Center, outside W. W. Hagerty Library, by the Daskalakis Athletic Center, or over a meal at the Urban Eatery or the Northside Dining Terrace. Race Street Walk sits at the heart of residential life and is the natural place to hand off a mini fridge between halls. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
