College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Every account is verified with a @creighton.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Bluejays — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

Where Bluejays buy and sell

Creighton's campus is compact and its housing has changed a lot in recent years. Whether you're a first-year in Deglman, Graves, Swanson, or McGloin, a sophomore in Kenefick or Heider, or in apartments at Opus Hall or Davis Square, everything you need is within a few blocks. Bluejays post futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, rugs, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail. Same rule applies: verified students only, and the person on the other end is someone you'd pass on the way to class.

Two Creighton rules that change what's worth buying

Don't buy a mini fridge or microwave. Creighton provides both in the rooms of all first-year halls, and rooms and apartments in sophomore and upperclass halls are equipped with them too. At most schools those are the first things a student buys — here they're already in the room.

Don't buy a loft kit either. Creighton doesn't allow third-party or homemade lofts. Every residence hall room already has furniture that can be lofted or lowered, and beds arrive lofted. All beds are twin extra-long.

That leaves rugs, storage, desk lamps, seating, and textbooks as what actually moves here — which is worth knowing before you spend on things you can't use.

A campus in transition

Creighton has rebuilt much of its housing recently. Gallagher Hall was demolished in 2022 and Kiewit Hall in summer 2024, Graves Hall opened as the first purpose-built first-year hall since the 1960s, and a new 400-bed hall for second-year students on N. 21st Street is set to open for the fall 2026 semester. If you're searching for Gallagher or Kiewit and finding nothing, that's why — though the Kiewit Fitness Center is a different building and still very much there.

Meeting up on campus

Handoffs happen at landmarks everybody already knows. The Skutt Student Center, the Reinert-Alumni Memorial Library, the Kiewit Fitness Center, and the Harper Center are all a short walk from the residence halls. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no driving across Omaha to meet someone off Craigslist.

Textbooks without the bookstore markup

Course materials for nursing, the health sciences, and business run into the hundreds of dollars a semester, and the same editions circulate through campus year after year. Buying from the Bluejay who took the class last term beats the bookstore buyback spread on both ends — the seller gets more than the buyback price, and the buyer pays less than retail.
