College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut. Every account is verified with a @uconn.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Huskies — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.
UConn's Storrs campus spreads housing across more than a dozen areas. Traditional halls make up the bulk of it: Alumni Quad, Buckley/Shippee, East Campus, Hilltop Halls, McMahon Hall, North Campus, Northwest Halls, Towers Quad, Werth Tower, and West Campus. Suite-style living runs through Busby Suites, Garrigus Suites, Connecticut Hall, and South Campus, while apartment residents land in Charter Oak Apartments, Hilltop Apartments, Northwood Apartments, or Oaks on the Square down in Storrs Center. With that many buildings within walking distance of one another, everything you need is already on campus. UConn students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail.
Rooms arrive with a bed and mattress, a dresser, a closet or wardrobe, and a desk with a chair, plus wired and wireless internet. Bedding is the detail worth checking twice: most residence halls and suites use XL Twin mattresses, but most apartment units at Charter Oak and Hilltop take Full size sheets. Air conditioning splits sharply by area — Busby, Garrigus, Connecticut Hall, South Campus, Werth Tower, Charter Oak, and Hilltop Apartments have it, while Alumni, Buckley/Shippee, East Campus, Hilltop Halls, McMahon, North Campus, Towers, Northwood, and West Campus do not, with Terry and Rogers in Northwest slated to gain AC by Fall 2026. Personal air conditioners are prohibited outright, so fans move fast in August. Campus Housing supplies the bed frame pieces for lofting and bunking in most areas and will send Facilities Operations if you can't manage it yourself, but university furniture has to stay in the room. Mini fridges are limited to one per room, no taller than 36 inches, with a three-prong grounded plug; microwaves must be 700 watts or less. Extension cords, halogen lamps, toaster ovens, and hot plates are all out.
Meet somewhere busy and central: the Student Union, Homer Babbidge Library, the Student Recreation Center, Fairfield Way, or outside Gampel Pavilion. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
Fall 2026 move-in runs August 27 through August 30, with approved early arrivals from August 21 — that stretch and spring closing are when listings move fastest.
