College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina. Every account is verified with a @email.campbell.edu address, so you're only ever trading with other Camels, not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

Campbell keeps roughly 2,000 students on campus, and undergraduates are required to live in university housing for six consecutive fall and spring semesters unless Residence Life approves them to move off, so the same buyers and sellers stay in reach for three straight years. Traditional halls like Burkot Hall, McCall Hall, Small Hall and Powell Hall run on the couplet layout, with Pat Barker Hall and Jones Hall in the mix as well, while Luby Wood Hall and Bob Barker Hall add suite-style rooms. Upperclass students spread out into Faculty Memorial Commons, Campbell Village Townhomes, Northeast Apartments, Creekside Apartments, Stadium A Apartments and Stadium Village. Whichever building you land in, everything you need is already on campus. Campbell students post mini fridges, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes and gently used textbooks every semester, usually for a fraction of retail.

Know the rules before you buy. Every bed has an 80-inch XL twin mattress, so standard twin sheets will not fit and XL bedding is one of the most traded items here. Rooms come furnished with a desk and chair and either a closet or a wardrobe, and the hall pages list rooms as air conditioned. Beds arrive raised about 30 inches off the floor for under-bed storage and can be lowered to about 15 inches by request after classes start, but personal lofts, bricks and cinder blocks are banned and university furniture cannot be moved out of the room. Refrigerators are capped at 3.5 cubic feet and 1.5 amps, and microwaves must plug straight into a wall outlet, never a surge protector or extension cord. Space heaters and fully upholstered furniture, including couches, recliners and futons, are prohibited.

Meet up somewhere busy and well lit. The Oscar N. Harris Student Union is the obvious first choice, with its dining hall, coffee shop and The Bazaar Campus Store under one roof, and Wiggins Memorial Library, Carter Gym and the Convocation Center work just as well between classes. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.

New students move in Saturday, August 15, 2026 and returning students follow on Sunday, August 16, 2026. Those two mornings, plus the end-of-spring move-out rush, are when listings move fastest.
