College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Every account is verified with a @bucknell.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Bison — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

Bucknell requires students to live in university housing for all four undergraduate years, which means essentially the entire student body is your buyer pool. First-years land in Vedder Hall, Smith Hall, McDonnell Hall or Swartz Hall, with the Residential Colleges clustered in McDonnell and Smith. Sophomores tend to move into suite-style Roberts Hall or the single-heavy corridors of Trax Hall and Kress Hall. Juniors and seniors spread out across Harris Hall, Larison Hall and Bucknell Cottage, the five houses of the Gateway Residence Center — Roser Hall, Malesardi Hall, Kalman-Posner Hall, Vidinghoff Hall and Silbermann Hall — plus South Campus Apartments and West Apartments. Nobody has to drive across town to hand something off, because everything you need is already on campus. Bucknell students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail.

Rooms arrive furnished with a bed, desk, chair and dresser for each occupant, and in Roberts, Trax, Kress, McDonnell and Vedder you also get a wardrobe (roughly 3' x 2' x 6.5') instead of a built-in closet, which is why drawer organizers and hanging storage move fast here. Pack twin extra-long sheets. Air conditioning runs throughout Vedder, Smith, McDonnell, Roberts, Trax, Kress and Harris, and personal window AC units are on Housing's leave-behind list, so don't buy one. Beds in Roberts are non-loftable. Mini fridges are capped at 4.5 cubic feet, microwaves at 750 watts, and combo MicroFridge units can be rented instead — a used fridge from a graduating senior is usually the cheaper move. Candles, halogen lamps, space heaters and personal cooking appliances are all prohibited, so skip those listings entirely.

When it's time to hand something over, stick to the busy, well-lit parts of campus: the Elaine Langone Center, the Bertrand Library, the Kenneth Langone Athletics & Recreation Center, Malesardi Quadrangle, or the 7th Street Café. All of them are a short walk from housing, all of them have people around, and you can be in and out in five minutes — no shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
