College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. Every account is verified with a @bradley.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Braves — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.
Where Braves buy and sell
Bradley's campus is compact and its housing runs from high-rise halls to apartments. Whether you're in Geisert — the ten-story hall with the dining hall downstairs — in Harper, Wyckoff, Heitz, Williams, or University Hall, or in College, Elmwood, Lovelace, Wendle, St. James Apartments, Main Street Commons, or the Student Apartment Complex, everything you need is within a few blocks. Braves post futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, seating, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail. Same rule applies: verified students only, and the person on the other end is someone you'd pass on the way to class.
Check the mattress before you buy sheets — Geisert especially
Bradley isn't uniform on bed size. University, Heitz, Williams, Elmwood, Lovelace, and Wendle have extra-long twin mattresses throughout. Geisert is mixed — most rooms have standard twins, with some extra-long. The extra-long mattresses are three inches longer. If you're in Geisert, check your actual room before buying sheets or a mattress topper secondhand, and mention your building when you sell bedding.
A note on fridges
Bradley rents MicroFridge units through a partner, with move-in-day orders due by August 1. If you miss that deadline or would rather not rent, a secondhand fridge from another Brave is the obvious alternative — and worth listing in May rather than hauling home.
Meeting up on campus
Handoffs happen at landmarks everybody already knows. The Michel Student Center, the Cullom-Davis Library, and the Markin Family Student Recreation Center are all short walks from the residence halls, and campus is small enough that most handoffs take five minutes. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no driving across Peoria to meet someone off Craigslist.
The weeks that matter most
Residence hall move-in for fall 2026 is Saturday, August 22, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. — a single-day event, which means the buying rush is concentrated in the days right before it. If you're selling, post the week before. If you're buying, don't wait until the 22nd.

Yes. Buying, selling, and messaging are completely free. The only optional cost is a featured listing boost, which puts your item at the top of the Bradley feed for $2.99 for 7 days.
How do I pay the other student?
You arrange payment directly with each other — cash, Venmo, Zelle, whatever you both agree on. No money runs through the app, and there are no transaction fees.
