Buying & selling at Austin Peay

Campus details for Austin Peay students.

College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. Every account is verified with a @my.apsu.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Govs — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

APSU housing runs the full range, and so does the resale market that comes with it. First-year students land in the suite-style halls — Blount Hall, Harvill Hall, and Sevier Hall — or in the hotel-style Castle Heights and Governors Terrace South, which also houses Living Learning Communities. Upperclass students move over to Eriksson Hall and Governors Terrace North, or into apartment living at Emerald Hill Apartments, Hand Village Apartments, Meacham Apartments, and Two Rivers Apartments. Freshmen are required to live on campus unless they're 21 or older or living within 50 miles, so everything you need is already on campus. Austin Peay students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail.

Know the rules before you buy. Rooms come furnished with two movable Twin XL beds, desks, chairs, and dressers, so buy extra-long twin sheets and skip anything sized for a standard twin. Every hall is air conditioned, and window units are banned outright. Lofts are not permitted and neither are bed risers or cinder blocks — beds sit on the floor, though they can be bunked and raise to about 30 inches of clearance underneath, which is why under-bed bins move fast. Refrigerators have to stay at or under five cubic feet and microwaves at or under 1,000 watts. Toasters, toaster ovens, halogen lamps, space heaters, and personal wireless routers are all on the prohibited list, so check a listing against the policy before you hand over cash.

Meet up somewhere busy and central. The Morgan University Center is the obvious handoff spot, and the Felix G. Woodward Library, the Foy Fitness and Recreation Center, The Food Hall, and the Ann Ross Bookstore all work just as well in daylight with people around. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.

Fall 2026 move-in runs across three days, starting August 19, 2026 for Blount, Harvill, Sevier, Governors Terrace South, and part of Castle Heights, with the remaining halls and apartments on August 20 and 21. That week is when listings move fastest, so post early.
