College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Every account is verified with an @smail.astate.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Red Wolves — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

First-year students land in the suite-style halls: Kays Hall, the eleven-story building that houses first-year men and women on separate wings, and University Hall, a first-year women's building. Arkansas Hall and the five co-ed buildings of North Park Quads take undergraduates more broadly, and the Living Learning Communities on Danner Avenue group students by interest, with separate buildings for honors, ROTC and the Neil Griffin College of Business. Upperclassmen move into the on-campus apartments — Collegiate Park, Red Wolf Den and Pack Place — while Greek Village houses members of the five resident sororities. Freshmen who are not living at the legal residence of a parent or guardian are required to live in on-campus housing, so a large share of the underclass turns over in the same buildings every August. Which means everything you need is already on campus. Arkansas State students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail.

The room setup matters when you're shopping. Residence hall rooms come with a Twin XL bed, dresser, desk and chair, closet storage and an accessible bedroom thermostat, so hall residents need Twin XL sheets rather than standard twin. The apartments are a different story: Collegiate Park, Red Wolf Den and Pack Place all come furnished with full-size beds, living room furniture and a kitchen with refrigerator and electric stove, and Pack Place adds an in-unit washer and dryer. Before you buy, know what housing won't let through the door — toasters and toaster ovens, deep fryers, candles and incense, hoverboards, electric scooters and octopus plugs are all prohibited, and air fryers are permitted in apartment locations only.

Meeting up is the easy part. Trade in the open at the Reng Student Union, outside Dean B. Ellis Library, at the Red W.O.L.F. Center before or after a workout, near Acansa Dining Hall at mealtime, or by First National Bank Arena on a game day. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
