Buying & selling at Arkansas-Pine Bluff
Campus details for Arkansas-Pine Bluff students.
College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Every account is verified with a @uapb.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Golden Lions — not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.
Most first-year students land in the Harrold Complex, the big co-ed freshman complex made up of the Fischer/Stevens and Johnson/Copeland wings, or in Delta Housing Complex I. Upperclass students spread out across Delta Housing Complex I and Delta Housing Complex II, the co-ed Johnny B. Johnson Housing Complex, and the smaller men's halls — Hunt Hall, Lewis Hall, and Douglas Hall. Whichever building you end up in, everything you need is already on campus. UAPB students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester — usually for a fraction of retail.
UAPB furnishes each room with a twin-sized bed and mattress, a study desk and desk chair, a dresser, and a closet or wardrobe, plus wireless internet and cable service, so the shopping list is mostly the soft stuff and the storage. Residential Life's own packing list asks for regular twin sheets, blankets, and comforters — not Twin XL — which is worth knowing before you buy someone's leftover bedding. The appliance rules matter a lot here: you're allowed up to two refrigerators per bedroom as long as each stays under 3.2 cubic feet, which is why compact fridges move so fast in the marketplace. Microwaves are capped at 0.7 cubic feet and are only permitted in Delta Housing Complex I and II and the Johnny B. Johnson complex — in Harrold, Lewis, Hunt, and Douglas the microwaves live in shared lounges and kitchens, so don't buy one for those buildings. Anything used for cooking in the room, along with heaters, candles, hot plates, air fryers, and halogen lamps, is prohibited. Residents are also required to carry a meal plan.
When it's time to hand something off, meet somewhere busy and lit. The L.A. Davis Sr. Student Union is the obvious pick between classes, and the John B. Watson Memorial Library, the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex, the UAPB Fitness Center, and the UAPB Bookstore all work just as well. Walk over, swap, done — no shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.
