College Marketplace is the student-only buy and sell app for Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. Every account is verified with an @acu.edu email address, so you're only ever trading with other Wildcats and not strangers from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

First- and second-year students at ACU are required to live on campus, which means almost everybody starts out in the same handful of buildings. First-year Wildcats land in Bullock Hall, Mabee Hall, Nelson Hall, or Wessel Hall. Sophomores move over to Barret Hall, Edwards Hall, or Smith-Adams Hall, or into the apartment-style options at Dillard Hall and Morris Hall. Upperclassmen and graduate students can move into the University Park Apartments on the north side of campus. With that much turnover between halls every August and May, everything you need is already on campus. ACU students post mini fridges, futons, storage bins, desk lamps, monitors, bikes, and gently used textbooks every semester, usually for a fraction of retail.

Every residence hall room comes with an XL twin bed, desk, chair, dresser, closet or wardrobe, and window blinds, so what people actually shop for is everything else. ACU mattresses are 80-inch extra-long twins, so bring or buy XL twin sheets rather than standard twin. Bed risers are banned campus-wide for safety reasons; some halls have self-lofting beds, and bunking has to be cleared with your resident director first. Residence Life caps you at one mini fridge per room at 4.3 cubic feet or smaller and one microwave. Space heaters and anything with an open heating element, including toaster ovens, crockpots, and indoor grills, are prohibited, and coffee makers need automatic shut-off. Nails, screws, and adhesive wall coverings are out too, so removable mounting strips and putty are the safe buy. ACU also doesn't stock vacuums in the halls, which is why used ones move fast here.

Meeting up is easy when you're already walking past each other. Trade at the McGlothlin Campus Center, outside Brown Library, or at the Hunter Welcome Center where there's parking and steady foot traffic. No shipping labels, no delivery fees, no meeting someone off campus.

The busiest windows are move-in on August 18, 2026 for new and transfer students, with returning students arriving August 19 through 23, and move-out on May 7, 2027. List early in both directions.
